Complete update of company structure achieved with K3 Retail ERP implementation

Lloyd Shoe Company, which operates footwear concessions in over a thousand major UK High Street stores, now has complete stock visibility and a stronger reporting platform, thanks to Microsoft Dynamics retail management system from K3 Retail.

K3 has completely re-designed the wholesaler's stock management system and dramatically increased visibility across all variables to create a clear and succinct platform for viewing and reporting. Lloyd Shoe no longer has to depend on out-of-date data in reports as the system is fully automated, allowing concurrent activities to run. This is in contrast to its old system, which relied on a time-consuming data entry process, where all information had to be recorded twice.

Tailored components to fit business needs

Becky Munday, commercial director at Lloyd Shoe Company, said: “We chose K3 Retail because we felt they could provide us with a personalised system to suit our business. All the components were tailored to our specific needs and they are flexible in their approach to work. We now have all the information we need at our fingertips with stock visibility having improved enormously.”

Since the solution went live in September 2011, K3 reported that Lloyd Shoe has seen improvements in stock visibility and dramatic savings in time in certain departments. The new enterprise resource planning (ERP) system runs unmanned in contrast to the previous system, which saw staff manually updating the system, resulting in low data confidence and errors.

Large chunks of reporting is now automated, which has taken away the need for manual report creation throughout the night and is one of the major benefits to come from the installation of the new software for both the staff and the business as a whole.
