Fast-expanding value retailer, The Range is implementing warehouse and workforce management, slotting optimisation and transportation portal solutions from RedPrairie

There are plans to open more than 160 new outlets over the next four years.

Timely strategic investment

RedPrairie’s warehouse management solution is scheduled to go live in December 2010, followed by workforce management, slotting and transportation portal components.

Alex Simpkin, logistics manager at The Range, said: “With an aggressive plan to increase our number of outlets significantly by 2015, we required a highly scalable and flexible system. RedPrairie’s suite has proven capabilities in a high volume environment, and will enable us to better manage our growth, while increasing productivity, accuracy and customer satisfaction.”
