E-commerce giant now offering merchants shipping to all 27 EU countries

E-commerce giant now offering merchants shipping to all 27 EU countries

Amazon has today said sellers offering products with Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA) on Amazon.co.uk, can now sell to customers in all 27 European Union (EU) countries enabling them to offer their products to millions of new customers throughout Europe.

With Fulfilment by Amazon sellers store their products in Amazon's fulfilment centres, and Amazon picks, packs, ships, and provides customer service for these products.

The e-commerce giant said FBA sellers in the UK now have three options – domestic only, export to 9 EU countries or export to all 27 EU countries.

Generating sales growth for sellers

The service has been designed to allow merchants to be able to select and change their export options with the click of a button, and the changes will be implemented within an hour of selecting a different option. Sellers will not incur additional charges for this service.

“We are delighted to announce the extension of Amazon’s FBA service throughout all EU countries, giving FBA sellers the choice to reach millions of new customers with flexible options most suited to their business,” said Thomas Taylor, FBA vice president at Amazon.

Amazon has been offering Fulfilment by Amazon since 2007 and last expanded the product range in September.

Customers are offered the same delivery options as when ordering from Amazon, including access to the same customer services facility and product returns. In addition, with the new export service, sellers can now offer these advantages to customers not only in the UK, but now to customers in all 27 EU countries.
