High Street retailer brings in Tensator queueing technology to improve customer shopping experience

High Street retailer brings in Tensator queueing technology to improve customer shopping experience

Peacocks, the UK value fashion retailer has worked with queue management specialist Tensator to provide an In-Queue Merchandising (IQM) system to enhance the instore customer journey at more than 150 of its stores.

The IQM solution is designed to transform unused space in the queue into a valuable retail area, enabling Peacocks to boost impulse sales among queuing customers by up to 400%.

To maximise the IQM system effectiveness for Peacocks, Tensator has provided the retailer with Tensaguide posts, beams, impulse boxes with adjustable dividers, sign holders and merchandising bowls for optimal product placement at the point of sale.

Turning waiting into sales opportunity

Tensator retail business development manager Fay Birtwell, said: “IQM is an effective way to boost impulse sales as it converts customers’ waiting time into extended shopping. The system gives Peacocks a high sales-generating point-of-purchase area, which increases margins and enhances customers’ satisfaction within the queue.”

Tensator has also recently provided Harrods with an In-Queue Merchandising (IQM) system to enhance the customer experience in its Christmas Shop over the festive period.
