Industry-specific enterprise solution will provide Dutch co-operative global consolidation of information and transparency over the complete supply chain
CRV Holding has selected the Food & Beverage solution from Lawson Software to replace its several separate legacy software systems, to drive business efficiency and to support the company internationalisation.
CRV will use the industry-specific solution from Lawson for the major areas finance, supply chain management, manufacturing execution, procurement, customer relationship management, service management, business intelligence and analytics. In addition the company will implement the Lawson Learning Accelerator, a Lawson solution designed to improve adoption of Lawson applications and help customers gain the most from its enterprise resource planning (ERP) investment.
CRV with headquarters in Arnhem, Netherlands, is a global enterprise with 2,000 employees and works in the field of cattle improvement with operations in the Netherlands, Belgium, Brazil, New Zealand, the USA, the Czech Republic, Australia, Luxembourg, Germany and Spain. In addition to these countries the products and services of CRV are marketed in approximately 50 countries worldwide. The shareholders are the Dutch Co-operative CR Delta and the Flemish Co-operative VRV. The cattle improvement industry involves the development, production and sale of genetic products like semen and embryos and digital information products. Customers who purchase products and services from CRV are typically cattle farmers and organisations that support farmers in their management, such as veterinarians and nutrition companies.
Consolidation crucial for growth

One enterprise system for the whole of CRV is a logical step in the development CRV has undergone during the last years. Now ‘CRV is one’ and ‘CRV works as one’, therefore we decided to invest in a new business system to provide a common information platform for all of our employees everywhere in the world”, said Gerard van Logtestijn, ERP project manager at CRV.

The implementation project at CRV started in September with development of a global template as the foundation for the new system according to StepWise, the Lawson implementation methodology. This template will be identical for all business units at CRV, the first go live is planned for the Benelux with future roll out globally. Approximately 500 users will work with the Lawson solution.
