Foodservice and retail supplier selects BCP’s Accord Distribution Software

Foodservice and retail supplier selects BCP’s Accord Distribution Software

Chadd’s of Bude is making a substantial investment in an Accord distribution system from Business Computer Projects (BCP) to cover its operations in Bude and at its sister company Foodsmiths in Saltash, Cornwall.

Established over 60 years ago, Chadd’s is a supplier to the catering trade in Devon and Cornwall. The company offers an extensive range of products, including frozen, chilled and dry goods, encompassing a diverse range of fine foods and local produce, to a broad customer base – from hotels, restaurants, gastro and traditional pubs, rest homes and schools to theme parks and visitor attractions.

Warehouse modernisation strategy

The investment was prompted by Chadd’s requirement to modernise and improve warehouse efficiency, having outgrown its bespoke solution, especially for multi-depot operations with the latest technology.

BCP’s Accord was chosen because of BCP’s long sector experience and Accord’s ability to provide a flexible, integrated business-wide solution able to deliver proven benefits across both sites.

The 15-user Accord solution will go live early this year.

Nigel Chadd, director at Chadd’s of Bude, headed the selection process: “Accord is unmatched in the functionality it offers. It looked good when demonstrated, but seeing it in action at AWG, McClures and Bikold sealed the deal for us. We can’t wait to get it up and running so we can start realising the benefits it offers.”
