Musto is undergoing a period of consolidation and, as such, has said it is investing in the latest technology available to help it to maximise sales.
The latest development is a new electronic point-of-sale (EPoS) system from Kudos Software, which has been installed into its range of shops allowing vouchers to be issued and accepted electronically from the tills where previously the system had to be carried out manually.
Cormac McCarthy, head of marketing at Musto, explained that the Devon-based supplier was chosen as they had worked together in the past and had a good working relationship.
Maintaining good relations
“Kudos really understands our business – their system has already proved to be very successful for us running our tills. We shared our concerns with the team and what we wanted to achieve and they suggested solutions or alternatives. It worked really well,” he said.
“We’re going through a period of consolidation and want to maximise sales in our existing stores. By working closely with Kudos, we can achieve this, certainly from the systems and process side.
“One recent successful project was with Kudos and Experian, where we invested in high-tech footfall counters; because of Kudos we were able to use data to give us a whole host of metrics.”
