Innovative consumer features and improved website performance helps greetings card retailer more than double online sales
Hallmark has revealed how a new online features and improved website performance helped its online holiday sales.
The digital consumer solution developed by IT services provider Infosys allowed customers to quickly create, manage and send their personalised holiday greetings faster than ever during peak holiday traffic.
Through Christmas, New Year’s, and Valentine’s Day holidays, the retailer has reported that the Infosys digital e-commerce solution handled five times the normal customer visits as previous holidays with virtually 100% uptime.
Hallmark’s online customers experienced a 370% improvement in the website’s response times, raising Hallmark.com’s customer conversion rate by 30% over the previous year.
Increasing usability features
Other features and benefits of the solution included quick-finder, which enables Hallmark.com’s consumers to navigate and search the site quicker so that consumers can get to the products they want faster; web-to-print allows consumers to personalise greeting cards and use local vendors to print and distribute for overnight delivery; and automatic reminders that can be integrate with addressing, stamping and mailing custom cards for different occasions.
