IC Companys redesigns four separate brands websites, capitalising on growth potential by introducing e-commerce functionality
GSI Commerce has worked with fashion brand IC Companys to redevelop four sites respectively, which have seen impressive growth following their re-design.
Matinique, the international men’s fashion label, has experienced a 20-fold increase in site visits, after launching a new international e-commerce website earlier this year. Designed by GSI Commerce, the global full-service e-commerce provider, the website caters for shoppers in 13 countries worldwide, in four currencies.
Tiger of Sweden’s clean, simple website provides customers with an option to either browse collections on the ‘brand’ site, or purchase online through the ‘e-store’. Designed as if the customer were searching through an aisle in store, the e-store’s clean and stylish product imagery is complemented with rich product information. An online style advisor also suggests items that customers may want to ‘wear it with’, based upon seasonal trends.
Tailoring brand identity
Similarly, InWear’s transactional site provides browsers with a range of information, including how to wear the garment, and also a high degree of product interaction. Consumers are able to zoom in and rotate images to inspect fit and quality, and choose between a range of sizing and colour options, which are visually updated on screen.
Jesper Arvidsson, IC Companys e-commerce manager, commented on the success of the InWear and Tiger of Sweden brands: ‘Following GSI Commerce’s work, we have seen a marked rise in year-on-year sales figures for both brands and the websites have certainly been received well by our customer base.”
The international luxury fashion brand By Malene Birger has also reported a smooth transition to online commerce, as the label has also recently launched an internationally trading website. Designed by GSI Commerce, the website caters for shoppers in 11 countries worldwide.
GSI provides integrated e-commerce solutions for each of these sites, which includes order processing, fulfilment and call centre services in addition to web design and technology.
The provider was recently acquired by e-commerce giant eBay in a deal worth $2.4 billion (£1.5bn).
