Trendy Canadian kids clothing company uses Gloople to become latest resource for mums
Krickets has plans to sew up the parents’ online shopping market in Canada and beyond, with a little help from social e-commerce platform Gloople that has just launched in the UK.
Despite celebrating its 37th anniversary next year, Montreal-based Krickets is launching in the UK, aiming to put itself at the forefront of the social media revolution, and capitalising on the advent of ‘digital mums’ – tech-savvy parents who use an ever-growing network online communities to make purchase decisions, chat about the latest products, and share their experiences.
Adding social networking features
Gloople, the customisable social shopping platform designed to give small and medium-sized businesses the impact of a big brand, is helping to attract more mums than ever to Krickets’ integrated online store.
“Gloople is easy to use and cost-effective – with a big impact,” said Oliver Flood, UK & Ireland distributor for Krickets. ‘As one of the national leader in childrenswear in Canada, synonymous with high quality and bespoke tailoring, it’s important that our online activity supports our market position. Gloople helps us do all that – and more.”
Krickets has taken advantage of Gloople’s integrated social marketing tools to allow parents to review and recommend products, refer their friends, and benefit from the Social Share discount feature to access exclusive discounts and sales.
Customers become advocates
The company has also adopted the affiliate marketing scheme, which lets parents earn commission promoting the website and its products to their online network of friends, family and colleagues. This provides Krickets with an army of advocates that can generate online buzz around the brand and drive traffic to the website.
The platform provider added that another UK e-tailer and luxury beachwear specialist, Cheekybeach.com, enjoyed an 18% increase in sales, increased Google ranking search engine optimisation (SEO) and a stronger presence on Facebook and Twitter after becoming an early adopter of Gloople’s social shopping e-commerce platform.
