E-commerce sales increase more than 500% in the last year since as a result of online search marketing strategy

E-commerce sales increase more than 500% in the last year since as a result of online search marketing strategy

The latest figures from digital agency Chapter Eight have revealed a year-on-year increase from January 2010 to late July 2011 of over 500% in online sales for The Sat Nav Warehouse.

However, a simple pay-per click (PPC) campaign by the Manchester-based specialist satellite navigation retailer did not see an instantaneous increase in sales.

The Sat Nav Warehouse therefore engaged the assistance of the Leeds-based agency to implement a tailored and lower cost-per-click strategy than previous generic campaigns, resulting in a 60% increase in natural search results and the almost doubling of revenue.

Maximising investment return

Phil Powell, from The Sat Nav Warehouse, said: “Our sales have increased dramatically since partnering with Chapter Eight for search marketing. Chapter Eight has demonstrated how we can become market leaders without the usually associated huge advertising costs.”

By using a search marketing scheme, the agency reported that The Sat Nav Warehouse has now overtaken its main online competitors. Conversion rates have increased by 80% and a threefold increase in products purchased has resulted a 410% year-on-year increase in return on investment.

Mario Thomas, managing director at Chapter Eight, commented: “The team at Chapter Eight were tasked with the PPC campaigns in 2010 and we are pleased to see that The Sat Nav Warehouse has moved from success to success since then as a result.”

The Sat Nav Warehouse website is also powered by Chapter Eight, whose e-commerce platform is also Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) Level 1 certified.
