CSY and Anderson Zaks provide EPoS and payment systems to delicatessen and supermarket serving Jewish Community

Myers Famous Kosherie, a kosher delicatessen in Leeds that serves customers across the North of England, has adopted new electronic point-of-sale (EPoS) and payment systems to better service its customers and support its growing business.

Updating and securing till systems

The Kosherie invested in a complete retail system comprising EPoS from CSY Retail Systems and RedCard card payment software from international card payment systems supplier Anderson Zaks. The store claims improved customer service through more efficient transaction processing and more accurate stock reports since using the system.

Malcolm Sorkin, owner of The Kosherie, said: “For us, CSY’s point-of-sale system, together with the Anderson Zaks’ RedCard solution means that we can process credit and debit card chip and PIN transactions at the till efficiently and securely. Anderson Zaks’ and CSY’s experience in providing a fully managed service to independent retailers meant that we have the assurance that our transaction data and payments are completely PCI compliant.”

Expanding into customer loyalty

He added: “We have been delighted with the features that CSY’s and Anderson Zaks’ integrated solution offers, including the opportunity to offer customer loyalty cards. The whole system is much more reliable, faster and easier for our staff to use and for management information. The reports give us real ‘traceability’ – we know which products are selling and who is buying. We can continue to give the best customer service that we are known for, and manage the bottom line to maximise our profit.”

Anderson Zaks said its RedCard software enables chip and PIN transactions to be processed through the till point, CSY’s touchscreen EPoS system. Credit and debit card details are taken and verification is obtained online. The payment systems provider’s Payment Card Industry (PCI) certified managed service ensures that transaction data is processed, stored and transmitted securely.
