UK online retailer looks to increase international footprint across its e-commerce sites
The Hut Group, one of the largest UK based online retailers, recently announced that the single-click payment system from Adyen has been integrated across The Group’s multiple e-commerce sites, including Zavvi.com and LookFantastic.com.
The Group attracts more than 7 million visits per month, has more than 6 million unique users and shipped more than 4.5 million orders in 2011.
International transactions currently account for 35% of The Group’s sales and this figure is growing.
Supporting rapid global expansion
“The Hut Group is well-known for our in-house, highly scalable ecommerce platform that allows our business to rapidly deploy new sites or quickly trial new initiatives to gain competitive advantage,” explained Stuart Hughes, chief information officer for The Hut Group. “The international coverage offered by Adyen, in addition to the streamlined payment features its solution offers to shoppers, makes it a perfect fit for The Hut Groups’ continued rapid expansion.”
Adyen said its payment system has been optimised to support relevant payment methods across Europe, US, Asia and Latin America, enabling The Hut Group to focus on expanding its global reach by providing shoppers more options for online and mobile payments.
