Natural beauty products retailer accepts delivery of over 1,600 TOSHIBA TEC EPoS systems

Natural beauty products retailer accepts delivery of over 1,600 TOSHIBA TEC EPoS systems

TOSHIBA TEC has recently completed the second phase of its European roll out program for Yves Rocher.

Following a series of successful pilot projects, Yves Rocher selected TOSHIBA TEC in 2007 as the retail technology platform to support their growth strategy. Yves Rocher is part of the family-owned French multinational Yves Rocher Group, which in 2008 generated a turnover of €1.3 billion (£1.1bn) in a total of 80 countries.

Massive European roll-out part of IT overhaul

The first phase of the project included the installation of 1,100 TOSHIBA TEC ST-7000 EPOS systems together with a new networked in-store ICT configuration at 550 Beauty Centres in France. The second phase, which took place this year in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Spain, saw the installation of a further 536 TOSHIBA TEC ST-7000 electronic point-of-sale (EPoS) systems. Implementation of another 166 ST-7000 systems will follow in the Benelux countries in early 2010.

“This delivery is a result of the dedication of the TOSHIBA TEC employees who build this customised solution for Yves Rocher, as well as the outstanding programme partnership with our suppliers," Nabuhiko Takao, Toshiba TEC European chief executive said. "It’s also an important milestone for Yves Rocher, because every Yves Rocher Beauty Shop has been delivered on time and on budget.”
