Luxury gift and toiletry company integrates cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) system with industry-first warehouse implementation
Baylis & Harding has implemented a new cloud-based warehouse management system (WMS) from Balloon One. This is a first of its kind implementation of the hosted Accellos WMS solution, which has been integrated with Baylis & Harding’s web-based ERP system from NetSuite.
Close ERP integration essential
The Redditch-base brand was attracted to the Balloon One offering because it has a local presence in the UK and a close partnership with NetSuite.
Adrian Slater, Baylis & Harding managing director, explained: “Having enjoyed significant growth, our existing WMS did not deliver the features and functionality we needed to take the business to the next level. Therefore, as an existing NetSuite ERP user, it was imperative that we chose a cloud-based system that would interface seamlessly with it.
“Balloon One demonstrated that it could be done with its Accellos WMS product and we are very pleased to be working with a UK supplier that is a fully accredited NetSuite partner and has significant warehouse and integration expertise,” he said.
Platform to support growth
Anticipated benefits from managed support and resilient hosting for the WMS include alleviating IT support and management worries attributed to its warehouse operations and a platform to support the company’s growth.
The ERP integration and paperless, wireless barcode technology of the WMS is also expected to help Baylis & Harding reduce picking errors and costs in its 150,000-square-foot warehouse, which contains millions of bathroom products.Gift brand runs warehouse in the cloud
