Marketplace consultancy supports venture to bring second eBay pop-up store to London Fashion Week in aid of Cancer Research UK

High fashion brand, House of Holland, has brought in e-commerce marketplace expert Genie and the Geek to help deliver its second eBay pop-up shop during February’s London Fashion Week.

The range, which consists of limited edition T-shirts, patterned tights and iPhone cases, will be stored, managed and delivered by Genie and the Geek at its Manchester head office and storage facility.

Genie and the Geek said, as an official eBay service provider, it was selected due to its expertise in managing online end-of-line stock marketplaces including strategy consultancy advice, picking and packing, design and build of eBay shops, photography, fulfilment, customer service, returns management and reporting.

Charitable efforts pay off for designer

House of Holland joins a wealth of well-known fashion brands and retailers that use its specialist services, including Religion, Kookai and Dune.

The revenue from the limited collection of online exclusives will all be donated to Cancer Research UK and Genie and the Geek has pledged to do the same. The first House of Holland eBay pop-up shop raised money for good causes and there are hopes it will generate even more money second time round.

Tayyab Akhlaq, managing director of Genie and the Geek, commented: “This is a really exciting brand that we’re thrilled to be working with. It’s fantastic being able to help brands sell-through stock via online marketplaces. Our relationships with the key players – eBay, Play.com and Amazon – and our fulfilment capabilities mean we’re set up to ensure this is a smooth, and more importantly, profitable, process.”
