Department store retailer exports music and PA technology from UK stores to its expanding French estate to meet the demands of the local market
PEL Services announced today it has completed the design, supply and installation of music and public address (PA) systems for four Marks & Spencer (M&S) stores in Paris, France.
The flagship store opening on the Champs Elysées was so successful that So Ouest, Beaugrenelle and Aeroville stores quickly followed, each boasting a store-wide Bose music and PA system similar to those supplied and installed by PEL in the retailer’s UK stores, maintaining brand recognition and enhanced shopper experience.
Technical and regulatory expertise
As senior Bose Pro-Partner, PEL Services is an authorised dealer for the entire Bose Professional Systems range, as well as the design, supply, installation and commissioning process.
PEL Refuge Call systems have also been installed to enable disabled persons to alert the control station to their predicament and initiate two-way conversations via handset or handsfree units, leading to their safe evacuation.
While M&S did not comment on the deployment itself, PEL said in its announcement that its key challenge in these new stores was understanding and adapting to the different regulations that apply locally.
