Chichester revamp makes thousands of products available instore and unveils new retail partnership with technology maker Samsung

Dixons Retail has today reopened its Currys & PC World Superstore in Chichester after an extensive refurbishment project that introduces a new area dedicated to Samsung and brings a wider range into the store with click & collect services.

The newly refurbished 16,000-square-foot superstore combines both brands under one roof providing the widest range of electricals from Currys & PC World, which the company said would making shopping a much simpler and more enjoyable experience for customers.

It also features a Samsung ‘shop in shop,’ which will showcase the latest Samsung technology and provide customers with an extensive instore range. (The technology company recently also announced a similar tie-up with the illycaffé chain.)

Customer service priorities

Other services available in the superstore include a new KNOWHOW service bar, offering shoppers the added benefit of expert technical advice and support onsite, as well as ‘Showhow’ demonstrations on specific products. A dedicated PC World Business centre, with advisors on hand to give expert advice and support to help local companies grow, will also feature in the new store.

Its award-winning WEEE recycling scheme, where customers can bring any old electrical products into the store and have them recycled for free, and ‘Order & Collect,’ whereby goods can be reserved online for convenient collection instore, will also be available.

Steve Crossen, Currys & PC World general manager, commented: “The new Superstore in Chichester will bring together the best from both Currys & PC World and offer locals a huge range of the latest tech.

Number one destination

“This will be one of the biggest electrical shopping destinations in Chichester and customers will be greeted by an exciting, fun and interactive instore experience, where they can test out and play with products and get impartial advice from store colleagues. Whether they’re tech-savvy or tech-wary, our friendly staff will be on hand to make sure the people of Chichester get the most out of their visit.”

The retailer added that store colleagues have all taken part in a special training programme, specifically designed by Currys & PC World to ensure they can offer customers help and advice to enable them find the right products and services to meet their individual needs and technology requirements.

The Chichester Superstore is part of an ongoing Currys & PC World refurbishment programme across the country. Crossen added: “The refitted Superstore will offer an unbeatable combination of value, choice and service and will be the number one destination for electrical products in the region.”
