The health and beauty retailer’s new app speeds up special offer redemption for customers

Boots UK recently launched its Boots app, which works in conjunction with the health and beauty retailer’s customer loyalty Advantage Card.

The app aims to provide customers with access to the latest offers through a ‘My Offers’ feature, tailored to each individual based on their shopping habits. Customers no longer have to wait for quarterly paper coupons.

Customers can browse the app and add their chosen offers to their Boots Advantage Card to be redeemed in store immediately. The Boots app has been free to download on iPhone and Android devices from 25 June 2014.

No more waiting

"We know that our customers love to receive personalised offers on the products they use the most and that 87% of our customers use the coupons they receive in their quarterly mailings,” said Ruth Spencer, director of loyalty and multichannel at Boots UK.

“However over a third of customers tell us they regularly forget to put paper coupons in their purse and can miss out on the best offers for them," she added. "The Boots App makes that a thing of the past, ensuring our customers always have access to the offers they want the most, when they want them - not just quarterly.”

Barcode scanner

Customers can also use the Boots App to find out more about products before they shop with a ‘barcode scanner’ feature, which allows them to scan any product barcode to get more information and customer ratings and reviews.  Customers can also keep up to date on what is happening in their local store or on the brands they love with the app’s ‘news and events’ feature.

Since October last year, Boots customers have also been able to pay with their contactless cards at all Boots UK stores, following the successful completion of the roll out of contactless terminals.
