Amazon invests in chatbot technology

Amazon has joined the rush to buy chatbot technology with the acquisition of artificial intelligence company Angel.ai, according to Tech Crunch

Angel.ai is a startup that develops chatbots and natural language processing technology.

Tech Crunch also revealed that Angel.ai co-founder and CEO Navid Hadzaad has been named head of New Bot Products at Amazon.

Amazon has confirmed that Hadzaad has started working at the company but declined to confirm the acquisition.

Angel.ai was previously known as GoButler.
