Photo-Me captures EPoS

By Retail Technology | Thursday March 2 2017

Photo booth operator Photo-Me has gone live with 191 EPoS terminals at in-store photo centres at branches of Asda nationwide.

Photo-Me wanted an EPoS system that offered seamless communication between all 191 branches and its head office function while maintaining operation even in the event of an internet outage.

CSY won the project to provide the technology and has tailored its EPoS offering to meet Photo-Me’s needs.

“This is our first major venture using EPoS and we didn’t want to compromise on our desired functionality.  Many of the options we looked at were entirely reliant on an online connection, which we regarded as a risk,” says Greig Aspinall, regional manager of Photo-Me.
“CSY was the only provider who could deliver what we wanted, so we get Cloud-based back-up but it also works when offline.  They were also able to meet the tight time frame required by Asda.  CSY worked alongside our in-house engineers over several weeks, so that everything was configured, installed and ready for a smooth transition on the handover day.”

CSY’s support package includes extensive training for everyone using the EPoS tills, while the company’s helpdesk is also open 8am-8pm, seven days a week, to give customers real-time assistance during trading hours.
