Starbucks opens mobile-only store

By Retail Technology | Wednesday April 5 2017

Coffee powerhouse Starbucks is opening a dedicated mobile order and pay store at its Seattle headquarters

It is testing how to best serve convenience-oriented customers, the company said in a letter to employees on Thursday, according to Reuters.

Starbucks has been looking to counteract bottlenecks at cafe drink delivery stations, which suffered peak-hour backups due to a pileup of mobile drink orders.
