By Retail Technology | Tuesday October 10 2017

Walmart’s project with Google to provide personalised voice shopping has gone live

More than two million Walmart items can be shopped through voice.

The news coincided with Google’s launch of its affordable $49 voice assistant Google Home Mini with Walmart announcing a tie-up with the new device and Google Home.

Ant customer who buys a Google Home or Google Home Mini from Walmart will receive up to $25 off* a Walmart order when they link their Walmart account to Google Express.

By linking their accounts, customers save time and money by receiving recommendations based on their previous purchases made in Walmart stores and on Walmart.com.
