Online sales rain down on Brolliesgalore

By Retail Technology | Sunday April 14 2019

Specialist umbrella retailer Brolliesgalore has seen peak period sales rise 40% with its new ecommerce site

The pureplay retailer reported that transactions almost doubled during the fourth quarter of 2018 compared to the same period the previous year, while the number of visitors rose by 53%. Mobile sales increased in volume by 19%.

Founded in 2003, Brolliesgalore is working with longstanding partner Oxatis Group to optimise its web store. The retailer is using the ecommerce specialist’s SaaS technology to create a high-performing website that drives revenue.

“Our online store features over 1,000 umbrellas and we wanted it to be as user-friendly as possible,” said Christine Naysmith, director and co-founder of Brolliesgalore.
“The multi-feature platform enables us to properly showcase our different styles and colours and offer a straightforward shopping journey. Advanced customisation means we are able to constantly refine our site, so it can develop and grow along with our business.”

Checkout process

Brolliesgalore tailors Oxatis Group’s technology to the specific needs of its customers.

It has introduced a ‘back in stock’ notification system and simplified the checkout process so shoppers can see delivery costs before they need to input any details.
