UK supermarket giant Morrisons has said it plans to expand online operations by including another 100 stores due to Coronavirus

The unprecedented pandemic has caused demand for online shopping to soar as consumers start social distancing measures.

Thomas Brereton, retail analyst at GlobalData, said: “Morrisons is better placed than most retailers to get through the turbulent next few months.”

In addition, Morrisons has auctioned pay guarantee for sick and affected colleagues; more shift flexibility; and confirmation of immediate payment for small suppliers.
