COVID-19: Morrisons scales up fleet

By Retail Technology | Monday April 27 2020

Supermarket chain Morrisons has rapidly scaled up its fleet to meet unprecedented demand for home deliveries due to COVID-19

Morrisons turned to Nexus Vehicle Rental to supply more than 500 vehicles and agree a fulfilment plan within 24 hours of contact, allowing for a smooth onboarding process.

The additional vehicles will enable Morrisons to increase deliveries to its customers each day, especially the elderly and vulnerable who are in close proximity of the retailer’s stores but unable to visit.

Nexus’s pioneering technology, IRIS, connects businesses to more than 550,000 vehicles across 2,000 locations, including EVs, specialist and commercial vehicles and HGVs.
