LightBulbs Direct brightens up online

Light bulb, fittings and accessories retailer LightBulbs Direct (LBD) has overhauled its online operations after a rise in mobile traffic

With mobile traffic having increased to more than 40% of LightBulbs Direct’s overall traffic, the retailer was determined to focus on increasing the mobile conversion rate. 

To do this, the platform needed a fresh new design, new merchandising features, and top quality online security to do so.   

5874 Commerce was given the job of overhauling the website  and put together a solution which pulled together the whole user experience, introducing opportunities for LightBulbs Direct to streamline the business and pave the way for future expansion.  

Matthew Dingwall, head of marketing and ecommerce at LightBulbs Direct, said: “As well as re-designing our website, 5874 carried out a full migration of our sales history and customers to the new BigCommerce platform. We’re confident we have a robust and scalable platform for the future.”
