Lidl launches new loyalty app

By Retail Technology | Tuesday August 11 2020 | UPDATED 23.02.23

Lidl has launched a new loyalty app that provides coupons and discounts when customers shop

Its 'Lidl Plus' mobile app allows customers to pay in-app and collect loyalty points, while granting access to partner offers.

It’s the first time the supermarket has provided a loyalty scheme and it will mean personalised deals for shoppers based on what they buy.

A Lidl spokesperson said: "We are always looking at ways to drive innovation for our customers, and Lidl Plus is another way of doing this whilst continuing to offer the highest quality products at the lowest prices.”

The app is in its test phase and is due to launch fully on September 3, 2020, but customers can still download it for free now on their smartphone on the Apple App Store or Google Play.
