Isabel Marant uses lockdown to upgrade

By Retail Technology | Friday November 6 2020

French fashion retailer Isabel Marant used the last lockdown to forge ahead with new digital services

Isabel Marant is deploying various omnichannel services in France and abroad as it continues to expand its retail and ecommerce operations internationally.

The retailer decided to switch to Cegid Retail’s cloud-based platform and managed to use the slowdown in activity during the global pandemic to carry out the operation smoothly. It is now introducing ‘click-and-collect’ and ‘ship-from-store’ services to favour local stores for swifter deliveries to consumers and maintaining closer contact.

Jean Keller, VP of global distribution at Isabel Marant, said: “There was a sort of ‘revenge spending effect’ after months cooped up in quarantine.”
