AO standardises business processes
Online electrical retailer AO is simplifying and standardising its business processes with new technology
AO will use Microsoft Dynamics 365 to manage its finance, supply chain and commerce operations
This will include consolidating supply chain solutions and removing multiple finance systems in favour of a single system. Dynamics 365 will give AO a single view of its customers, vendors and products and will also be used to give AO an end-to-end retail experience for its new in-store operation.
AO recently announced a trial with Tesco, which will see it open retail areas in five Tesco supermarkets. These customer experiences will be underpinned by Dynamics 365, which can be customised and personalised to help staff provide exceptional service to customers. AO currently also has five stores – in Manchester, Gatwick, Stevenage, Leeds and Liverpool.
Carl Philips, IT Director at AO.com, said: “Embedding Dynamics 365 in our business will help AO.com create economies of scale as we grow, giving our teams a ‘single source of truth’ that they can use to make informed decisions. We will also be able to give customers an easy and professional retail journey, from identifying the product to purchasing it.”
