Fashion chain C&A is to implement new product lifecycle management (PLM) software for its 300 stores in Brazil

C&A has chosen a solution from Centric Software as it continues its digital transformation which has been sped up as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The retailer had been deciding between developing an internal PLM or looking for a tool already available on the market when they spoke to Centric and realised that opting for their off the shelf solution would greatly accelerate its transformation process.

João Souza, head of sourcing for the women's department of C&A Brazil, said: “Our product development was very centred around each designer and emails with suppliers but with no real strategic organisation. PLM will help make this process more efficient and streamline supplier management. It'll cover our end-to-end supply chain, from the first stage of initial product design to market launch.”
