Tesco inks chilled distribution deal

By Retail Technology | Monday April 4 2022 | UPDATED 04.04.22

Supermarket giant Tesco has signed a new deal for chilled distribution to its UK stores in the North West

Under Tesco’s new agreement, XPO will be responsible for temperature-controlled transport using XPO fleet and drivers despatched from Tesco's distribution centre in Widnes, Cheshire.

Additionally, the two companies will collaborate on developing a plan for a carbon-neutral or carbon-negative solution that supports Tesco's sustainability objectives.

XPO has provided non-food transport services to Tesco UK for over 25 years.
