Waitrose rolls out parking app

By Retail Technology | Tuesday April 26 2022 | UPDATED 26.04.22

Supermarket chain Waitrose has introduced a new parking app at 14 of its UK car parks

Waitrose has introduced the Flowbird App from Flowbird Smart City UK to make parking payments quicker and more convenient by giving shoppers the option to complete a digital payment rather than using cash.

App users book their parking session on arrival and receive a reminder when it is due to end, with the option to extend their stay whilst they shop. Shoppers are able to redeem their parking fee based on a small in-store spend threshold by showing the app, or a physical receipt if they paid with cash.

Customer feedback has been positive, with users stating that they value the flexibility of using cashless payment methods through their own devices, along with the ability to top up their parking on the go if needed.

Waitrose customers can download the Flowbird App via a QR code located on the side of Flowbird’s parking terminal or directly via the Google or Apple store.
