Waitrose launches Pinterest campaign

Supermarket Waitrose has launched a new campaign on social media platform Pinterest showcasing its colourful variety in food choices for this year’s summer dishes

Waitrose will inspire Pinners to prepare tasty meals, utilising Pinterest’s immersive ad format, the Pin Extension, for the very first time.

Food and drink is one of THE go categories on Pinterest, with millions of Pinners coming to the platform every month to search and save recipe inspiration.

People on Pinterest are 40% more likely to have purchased new food products in the last 12 months compared to non-Pinners, making Pinterest the ideal platform for Waitrose’s new campaign looking to reach those after new and fun summer food and drink inspiration.

Sarah Hood, social marketing lead at Waitrose, said: “With people on the platform browsing for easy and fresh summer ingredients and dishes, our Waitrose Ideas Book will help them to discover fun and exciting recipes and products, perfect for hosting their back garden gathering or sunny park picnic.”
