Countdown returns to AR

By Retail Technology | Wednesday November 23 2022 | UPDATED 22.11.22

New Zealand supermarket chain Countdown is launching its third augmented reality (AR) campaign

Countdown Bricks Farm will again work with AR specialists Zappar to blend the physical and digital worlds in a collectible campaign.

This time, Kiwi kids will learn more about where their food comes from while also boosting customer engagement beyond the checkout and into their homes.

“We worked with Zappar again to deploy AR that embedded seamlessly into our myCountdown app to give our customers an engaging Countdown Bricks Farm experience alongside everyday functions like being able to build their shopping lists by aisle, scan their digital Onecard, get personalised specials and shop online.” said Countdown director of brand Brid Drohan-Stewart.
