H&M tries on automation
Fashion retailer H&M has picked a new tech partner to help drive automation and increase energy efficiency at more than 90 European retail stores
As part of H&M’s commitment to reduce electricity consumption per square meter in stores and to contribute to the long-term goal of reaching net zero GHG emissions by 2040, Honeywell will provide remote digital building management solutions and services across Spain, France, Italy, Belgium and Portugal.
Each H&M store will be equipped with Honeywell’s Remote Building Manager solutions connected to a centralised database that tracks energy usage and identifies actionable insights for energy savings and optimised operations.
These solutions will be managed via Honeywell Multisite Services using the Honeywell Forge IOT platform, which provides advanced monitoring and analytics.
Honeywell Forge enables condition-based maintenance to improve the resiliency of critical systems around the clock, reduce unplanned reactive work and lower energy costs. Its machine learning capabilities will continuously study each site’s energy consumption patterns.
