South Korean fashion chain using hologram models
Matin Kim, the South Korean fashion store chain, is using hologram models that move and turn 360 degrees to show outfits
They are at a total of five stores, including Matin Kim Seongsu flagship store, Myeong-dong branch, Hyundai Department Store Pangyo branch, The Hyundai Daegu branch, and Jamsil Lotte World Mall Hago Haus.
The Proto hologram units have built in cameras, microphones, speakers and touch screens and include AI capabilities. For future projects, special guests can beam into the stores and see and hear and interact with shoppers in real time, the avatars can also be activated to answer questions for shoppers about products, in any language, using Proto's AI Persona tools.
"We have introduced 3D holographic displays for the first time in the industry to provide a special experience to customers," a Matin Kim official said. "As a representative K-fashion player, we will continue to lead innovation to deliver interesting and fresh shopping joy to customers."
