Walmart renews data partnership

By Retail Technology | Friday June 27 2025 | UPDATED 26.06.25

US retail giant Walmart has renewed its partnership with smart data capture provider Scandit

Scandit’s software has been integrated into several Walmart associate apps, helping to optimise operational tasks like order fulfilment, stock replenishment, out-of-stock detection, product information look-up and receipt checks for self-checkout customers.

The user interface of the MyWalmart app, designed by Walmart with input from Scandit, streamlines associate onboarding and helps make associates’ day-to-day tasks easier, regardless of role, tenure, and workflow.

“As a people-led, tech-powered company, Walmart is committed to providing our associates with technology that helps them work smarter, faster and more efficiently,” said Walmart VP of Product Management Dan Miller.
