Currys launches AI ideas platform

By Retail Technology | Friday July 18 2025 | UPDATED 17.07.25

Currys has launched a new colleague-led and AI-powered ideas platform designed to turn insights from across the business into real improvements

Since its launch across Currys’ supply chain and services teams, the initiative called The Pitch has gained momentum, with over 450 ideas submitted to date. More than 100 of these are already in progress with 41% delivering measurable results — saving over 3,000 hours and unlocking six-figure cost efficiencies. Colleague engagement is strong too, with adoption rates tracking 3% above the market average.

As a result, the UK’s leading tech retailer has set ambitious plans to expand the platform to an additional 9,000 colleagues — bringing the total number of users to 14,000 by the end of this financial year. The investment spans stores, support functions, digital operations, contact centres and extends to Currys’ third-party partner, Concentrix.

Built on Sideways 6’s Microsoft-integrated platform, the Pitch makes it easy for colleagues to suggest improvements, flag inefficiencies and solve everyday problems. Fully embedded in Microsoft Teams, it’s AI-backed, accessible and doesn’t require colleagues to learn a new system.

Currys COO Lindsay Haselhurst said: “We have always believed in the value of colleague ideas but struggled to consistently capture, assess, action and track them. This is where ‘the Pitch’ has been a game changer for us. I’m excited to see it rollout and to watch the difference it makes for our colleagues, our customers and our bottom line.”
