Episys systems chosen to deliver professional-looking signage to reduce manually intensive processes and improve consistency

Warehouse Express, the UK's largest and fastest growing independent photographic reseller, is implementing Immediate Impact from Episys, so it can produce professional-looking signage using a PC and web browser and printer, rather than relying on manually printed signage.

The retailer operates a multichannel sales strategy, with its customers traditionally being offered the choice of buying online or through a dedicated call centre. However, its clients’ requirement for ‘touch and try’ product displays resulted in a specialist showroom being opened in Norwich.

Streamlining essential process

Stewart Fielder, commercial director at Warehouse Express, said: “One of the main challenges we faced was the production of point-of-sale signage. Previously store associates would manually create signage using a standard office work package. Production of in-store signage proved to be very labour intensive, as these we being produced individually and content had to be sourced from areas such as the website and individual product packaging. In addition, as different staff produced signs for different areas of the store, signage would often be inconsistent.”

Fielder continued: “We required a solution that would allow us to simply produce point-of-sale signage that could be implemented effortlessly. We chose to work with Episys, as they had the product on offer to best match our needs.”

Based on the Episys Retail Enterprise Suite, the provider said that Immediate Impact provides retailers with a user-friendly solution that is easy to learn and use. Users can create and print professional signage within minutes, and investment in the system is kept to a minimum, according to the company, with a ‘pay-per-use’ mechanism that only charges for the signage printed.
