Welsh children's charity extends retail operation using EPoS and will manage new furniture sales with 'Pick-up' module
Bobath Wales is opening a new charity shop selling clothes and bric-a-brac and also furniture to boost funds for the therapy they give to children with cerebral palsy.
With Kudos Charity Retail electronic point-of-sale (EPoS) software working well at its existing charity shops since 2010, the organisation was happy to invest in Kudos’ furniture round management software that integrates with the software.
Maximising charity retail sales
Kudos Pick-up & Deliver provides a calendar for the management of van pick-up and delivery bookings. It is tailored for furniture reuse with in-built Furniture Reuse Network (FRN) standard weights and driver prompts to ask donors to sign up for Gift Aid if they’re not already registered with the charity. The EPoS integration enables Bobath Wales to track high-value furniture items and maximise Gift Aid claims.
Gail Griffiths, fundraising manager at Bobath Wales is looking forward to the new shop launch. "We have high hopes for furniture reuse, as we are receiving more donations of this kind and we want new and existing donors to be able to contact us easily to arrange collection of their unwanted items," she said. "We expect the Pick-up & Deliver software to help us book collections and drop-offs easily and optimise our volunteer drivers’ time."
