World’s largest online bike store improves product imagery to grow sales as customer base diversifies

Chain Reaction Cycles has taken on SpinMe to boost its online sales with interactive imagery as its customer base diversifies to include a broader demographic.

The Northern Ireland-based cycling brand, which is the world’s largest online bike store, appointed the imagery specialist to help create 360-spin images for roll out across its entire online catalogue; setting up an in-house studio and training staff to use its software and hardware.

Enhancing experience for more customers

“Our typical customers are no longer just the specialist mountain biking crowd, though they do still make up a large part of our core audience,” said Paul Connolly, web content team supervisor at Chain Reaction Cycles. 

“We are seeing greater numbers of amateur cyclists, women and teenagers joining our customer base, and so we are taking our product imagery to the next level to enhance the online experience for everyone.”

Established in 1984, Chain Reaction Cycles opened its flagship Belfast store in 2011, and remains a family business. The website currently sells around 18,000 products, which are shipped to locations worldwide. The brand also regularly sponsors sporting events all over the world, including the ITU World Triathlon Series.
