Domino’s delivers automation

By Retail Technology | Thursday February 10 2022 | UPDATED 10.02.22

Pizza takeaway chain Domino’s Pizza has completed a custom project to increase in-store automation and elevate customer experience

The Domino’s project involved the commercial and technical team of Posbank Europe, the IT team of Domino's Pizza, and Nortconsulting.

Javier Pastor, Domino’s Pizza Portugal CTO, said: “This project allowed us to develop a complete solution, from design to implementation, which is installed in the front, on the counters of our stores, so that minimises the contact between the staff and the customers and generates an experience truly innovative and satisfactory.”

The solution also gives consumers more control over their transactions and provides more options for an engaging in-store experience, thanks to a full HD touchscreen display. It has been adopted in 60 Domino’s stores with 120 digital kiosks already installed, among Portugal, Czech Republic, Austria and Greece. Others 50 will be implemented during this year.

Due to the new adoption, Domino’s has observed an improvement in operational efficiency, customer involvement and satisfaction and an increase in the value of the average ticket.
