H&M fashions new data platform

Fashion retailer H&M has announced a new partnership to develop an enterprise data backbone for its business

H&M is collaborating with Google Cloud for the project that will include a core data platform and the using machine learning and artificial intelligence capabilities.

A range of Google Cloud’s products and services will be used throughout the full organisation to create stronger customer experiences - from in-store to online - and optimise internal supply chains.

This partnership will also enable further development of data science and AI capabilities throughout H&M Group’s business.

“We are now further accelerating digitalisation as we believe in sustainable growth powered by advanced analytics and tech. Therefore, I’m happy to announce we’ve found a provider who matches our needs,” said Alan Boehme, CTO, H&M Group.
