US retailer Target has launched a new GenAI-powered chatbot - Store Companion

The tool is scheduled to roll out to hundreds of thousands of team members across Target's stores by August with the aim of making the team members' jobs easier and enhancing the shopping experience.

Brett Craig, executive vice president and chief information officer, Target said: "The transformative nature of GenAI is helping us accelerate the rate of innovation across our operations, and we're excited about the role these new tools and applications will play in driving growth."
