Smartphone training is central to mobile retailer customer service proposition

 The Carphone Warehouse has selected Verridian to deliver customer-focused smartphone training to its team members to ensure that all customers walk out of stores with ready-to-use devices.

The Connected World workshops have been developed by the team at Verridian in conjunction with The Carphone Warehouse, and include detailed briefings on the leading operating systems, software options, smartphone services and packages.

The training sessions will enable The Carphone Warehouse team members to ensure all Smartphone customers walk out of the store with a fully operational customised Smartphone, capable of email, downloads and Wi-Fi ready, with no additional set up required by the user.

Staying on top of service demands

Richard Priddle, retail learning and development manager at The Carphone Warehouse, explained: “The surge in demand for smartphones and tablet devices has revolutionised the mobile market, and we want to ensure that The Carphone Warehouse customers continue to receive the best customer service and support available.

“It’s key for us that customers can rely on our team to set up and install all the services and features they want on their Smartphones, and can advise them on any issues or products if needed.

“Verridian has provided us with an exciting and engaging training event that equips our store managers with all they need to roll out smartphone training.”

The Verridian team said it also counts Nokia, O2 and Phones 4U among its clients.

Simon Fort, the account manager at Verridian, responsible for overseeing the entire project, added: “Our training team has taken time to understand the culture, values and critical success factors for The Carphone Warehouse’s Smartphone vision, and a training package has been developed based on this to provide the best engagement experience possible.”

 

The training was rolled out to 1,000 Carphone Warehouse managers at across the country.
